New Admission Form

Because of the creation of the new admission form, each student (new or present) will have to fill this form out and
return it to the office. The new form has the same basic information as before.  The “Parent-Guardian Service Requirement”
is the new part of this form. Your signature tells us that your family is active in a Christian community of faith,
you will be financially responsible to our school, and you will follow through with your service hours to our school.
Not following through with your commitment, could result in dismissal from our school.

Official Statement, Kirby Kruger, ND State Epidemiologist

"The H1N1 nasal spray vaccine contains a live virus that has been
weakened so it cannot cause influenza.  This virus does replicate in the
vaccinated person - and it is supposed to.  Studies have shown that both
adults and children vaccinated with the live virus vaccine will shed the
vaccine virus in respiratory secretions.  The highest level of virus
secretion occurs 2 days after vaccination with virus shedding lasting a
week or longer.  In studies that have been done, it appears that very
few people become infected with the vaccine virus shed by the vaccinated
person.  It is estimated that in a childcare setting with young children
the probability of being infected from a vaccinated person is less than
2%.  There have been no reported cases of people becoming ill when they
do get infected by vaccine virus shed from a recently vaccinated person.
There is no reason to exclude children from school or child care if they
received the vaccine and parents, teachers and staff should not be
concerned about the vaccine strain of virus causing illness as none of
the studies or surveillance activities have ever detected this".

After School Student Pick-Up!!

If we follow the following rules, then we will have
an orderly and safe after-school dismissal from our north parking lot.

Please help by following the guidelines listed below.

1.) We treat the north parking lot area as a one way area.  We enter from the north and exit past the church.  We will also open the west gate to the playground so parents may use that as an exit (not an entrance) if they need it.

2.) Parents need to park in the designated parking areas in the north parking lot.  Please do not block the driving lane areas by parking there and waiting for your child. This hurts the flow of traffic, so please do not park in the driving lane areas.

3.) Students, please do not run out in the parking lot area to your cars.  You need to treat this area like any other road where there is traffic.  Students need to stay in the tire chip area until their car is here and then proceed to their car in a safe manner.

4.) Now that the snow is gone from our side streets, it would  be helpful if our full time staff members park elsewhere besides the north parking lot. This would help free up more parking spaces for our parents.

We need to be proactive with this and not wait until something tragic happens.

Before School Student Drop-Off!!
Just a reminder, that when you drop off your child,  you once again need to treat our parking lot like a one way.  You enter from the north and exit by St. Joseph’s Church.  Not following this will result in an accident waiting to happen. Please do your part.  Thank you.

St. Joseph's Catholic School Belief Statement

We believe that Catholic education should be an experience in Christian living. We believe that each child is unique in his/her needs and capabilities in their growth as a Catholic/Christian person. We believe that we have a vital role in the intellectual, physical, emotional, moral, and social development of students entrusted to our teaching.

Be it known to all who enter here that CHRIST is the reason for this school. He is the unseen but ever present Teacher in its classes. He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students. (Author Unknown)
